A Case for the Simple Cotton Dress

With the temps rising, the fabrics are changing, and this post is all about making a case for the simple cotton dress. Although we’re not even convinced we need to defend it with more than a few pictures.

Summer arrivals are pouring into the shop, with labels of “100% Cotton” and “100% Linen,” making this shop girl’s heart very, very happy. This shirt dress by California Tailor came in, rich in the blue & white vibes of Summer days ahead, and affordable in secondhand price. The soft cotton brought ultra comfort and breathability for those hot days ahead. Wear it over white jeans, tied up at the bottom, worn open over a white dress or bathing suit as a cover up, or all by itself as a dress, like I did here.

For a little fun flare, I added one of the #darlingartisans newest wares – the Rifle Paper Co. fabric headbands by Lysande. Add a pair of flirty sunnies and easy slip on sandals, and you’re ready for any adventure, darling.
