Spring Florals: Wearing Prints

Linnea White

MG_0422_cropped.jpg

The first day of Spring is right around the corner, and the shop is bursting with colorful frocks and Spring florals. Spring is my favorite season, from the fashion to the weather, it's a season of such blossoming joy. Spring blossoms make my heart sing, and when I get to wear those blossoms all day, I'm walking on sunshine.

This floral blouse from Loft became the centerpiece of a Spring florals look, paired perfectly with this high waisted midi skirt by ASOS. Crisp colors and bright hues for the season ahead.

To accessorize the look, I pulled a few pieces from our local artisans, including a new lipstick color coming to the shop soon by Kitsune's Closet.

This season, don't shy away from wearing prints or bold colors. Take a cue from nature when it comes to your wardrobe: Embrace the blossoms, the exuberant joy of the season, and reflect the beauty of the season!

Snow Day Style: Winter Fashion

Linnea White

Cville is bustling* with the impending snow forecasted for this weekend. For the shop, the Winter weather means Winter fashion, and a fun snow day Downtown. So thank you, potentially big snow storm, for the chance to show off all of the outerwear and cozy accessories in the shop! (*Special note: break and milk.)

Winter Fashion | Outerwear

This blanket coat is a new arrival this week in the shop, and just as cozy and cute as can be. I kept the rest of the outfit neutral with a pair of moto-style J Brand jeans. These locally-made, handknit ear and hand warmers are the perfect cold weather accessory. And, of course, you can't forget a pair of snow boots!

How will you brave the snowy, cold winter in style? Shop at Darling Boutique to find all your cozy, cold weather finds!

Inspired by yesterday's photo shoot featuring leather pants, I knew it was time for a little leather pant outfit inspiration. After all, we have three pairs in the shop right now (*hint hint). Leather pants come in a variety of shapes and styles this fall, from classic skinny, moto-inspired with zipper details, slouchy, flare, even culottes. There are plenty of budget-friendly vegan leather options out there, as well (I like these and these).

Be bold and add something edgy to your wardrobe this fall! Get inspired below, and come shop the consigned pieces at the shop!

Dressing Up with Darling: Peace, Love, and Best Of

Linnea White

MG_5017-resize.jpg

Last Friday, we celebrated our Best of C-VILLE win for Best Consignment Store. The theme was Peace, Love, and Best of, so naturally we wanted to dress for the party in the spirit of a 1969 flower chip. Cue Woodstock vibes. With flowers both foraged and courtesy of Hope Zielter, local floral designer, we put on our best 60's flower child frocks and donned our handmade flower crowns for a night of revelry. Thank you again to everyone and who voted for us!
