It’s my favorite weekend of the year in Charlottesville! Or one of them. In my top 5 - definitely. And my sartorial moment of film festival street style. I love The Virginia Film Festival, and have attended every year since I was a 4th year student at UVa – that's 10 years in a row! It's been an incredible decade of celebrating film - local and international. Here's my list of film picks for this year's festival!Read More

I call this The Wall Flower OOTD. Cuz it's literally floral and on a wall. But it's also what I'd imagine a super cool wall flower would look like. And this OOTD also teaches you how to wear booties in the Summer.
This outfit is really all about the 'tude. A pair of floral Free People shorts and this stunning cream blouse by Anthropologie could look so feminine and delicate. But I didn't want to style them that way. Cuz what's the fun in doing what's expected (especially with style)? Instead, I took what look like delicate pieces, and styled them for the bad girl - The Wall Flower. The circle sunnies and stacking chokers and Aztec earring jackets give this look a rocker vibe, taking it from sweet to sassy.
And what's really important is how to wear your favorite booties in the Summer. Just because it's hot outside doesn't mean you can't rock a pair of booties! Especially with the right outfit! Booties look great with shorts from romping around in the Summer, and they especially can give a sundress a totally different vibe than all those sandals and wedges you've been wearing. Try it out. Just make sure you wear a good pair of sweat-wicking socks. You'll be glad you did.

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking. - The Devil Wears Prada
Ok, so, Spring florals may not be new, trendy, or groundbreaking, but they sure are cute and the perfect way to brighten your wardrobe with that Spring-spiration (proud of that pun, y'all).
A touch of floral makes the day bright, and the outfit right (I've had too much caffeine, clearly). We love the contrast of a classic, tailored pant with the boho sleeves and flowy fabric of this white blouse. Talk about easy, breezy, CoverGirl. The Charlie ankle pant from Anthropologie is a classic style, and they've produced it in a variety of patterns or colors of the years. This pair's pink and orange floral pop on that green base.
I about died when the J. Crew flats came in to the shop in the same hue of orange. Fun flats for Spring are pouring in to the shop, and so worth finding the perfect pair for your foot. Make sure they're comfortable and not just good-lookin'!
Don't forget to add a pink lip and a bolder fuchsia nail color as you move boldly into your Spring wardrobe. It's time! Seize the Spring day!
On Linnea | Secondhand pieces: Target top, XS, $10 / Cartonnier (Anthropologie) Charlie ankle pant, 4, $38 / J. Crew flats, 9, $28 / Sunglasses, $20 // Locally-made pieces: Kitsune’s Closet Be Smoaked fuchsia lipstick, $12, and Be Smoaked fuchsia nail polish, $7.50
Styling a poncho can be a little intimidating. It's a lot of fabric, and can be unflattering on your frame if not styled for your body. But, ponchos can also be amazingly boho chic and super cozy when styled correctly. And this look is poncho perfect.
This temperate Winter weather has inspired me to experiment with layers, and when a few ponchos came into the shop this Winter, I decided to give this layering piece a try. Loving the fringe detail on this BCBG Max Azria black poncho, I went for a boho look, adding a felt hat in a bright color, a striped, cropped turtleneck, and pleather midi skirt. These Western style shoes really pull the look together, giving it just the finishing sass it needed.
Don't fear the poncho, darlings! Here are a few simple styling tips for ponchos:
- Keep the outfit one color - like all black.
- Long lines extend the frame under the poncho, especially if it's a bulky poncho. Try skinny jeans, a maxi skirt, fitted heels, or knee high boots. A long necklace layered over the poncho will do wonders for the eye and elongating the overall look.
- Belt it! A belted poncho can be a super chic look, and help accentuate your frame underneath.
- Layer a solid color poncho over stripes for a fun pop of pattern.
- Get boho with it - add a felt hat and flared pants, or a little extra fringe.
How do you style the poncho for chic layering?

Summer weather. Shorts required. It's time for those chic summer shorts, ya'll. These shorts are proof that shorts can be chic. The dolphin hem detail lends a chic yet casual feel, offering plenty of room to show off a little leg this season...
Cue the music, those cheesy rock ballads of Summer. She's got legs, she knows how to use them. So say the guys with long beards.
But anyways, can we talk about this top, please?! The tiny, tight knife pleats on this flowy Zara white top are crisp and airy for summer, giving it an easy, breezy and chic feel. Imagine this top paired with white denim for a white-washed Summer ensemble, ready for a picnic or a hot Summer night on the town. #swoon
