Velvet Blues, Part 3: Backstage Pass

Linnea White

I've got the velvet blues. This outfit is so cool, I can't even handle. Fur, fringe, and flares combined with this vibrant velvet color is nothing short of fierce. This outfit combines several trending styles of the season, from flares and fringe, from velvet to fur, playing up the best of each in a bohemian rhapsody Queen would be proud of.

I felt like a rockstar hanging out backstage behind The Jefferson with my photog in tow - the uber talented Tristan Williams. The urban, gritty background was perfect for the throwback style of this seventies rocker vibe. The effect may harken back to older times, but the pieces worn are contemporary trends of today. Fashion is cyclical, after all.

It didn't take much to get inspired after these pants came into the shop. A simple silk cami under the faux fur jacket topped it off, and locally made accessories completed the overall look --- the crescent moon necklace, fringe leather clutch, and quartz knuckle ring. This outfit thrives on unique pieces that speak loudly when in unison, a harmonious effect perfectly fitting for this rockstar outfit's alley lit ballad.

Darling, You've Got Style: Fall Denim Report

Linnea White

In case you missed it yesterday, we're falling for boho (but that's nothing new, because we love Fall and we love everything boho), and featured a boho-tastic fall denim look. Those plum ombre Rag & Bone jeans inspired today's Fall Denim Report: Beyond the Basics.

This Fall, the report is calling for raw edges, dark washes, vintage high waists, and retro flares - to name a few. Every week, we're getting in jeans of all washes, cuts, and styles - even some hot leather pants! So get inspired here on the blog, and then skip on over to Darling on the downtown mall to shop with us!

Feminine Flares

Flares are back in a big way this season, so find the fit that flatters your body shape, and broaden your skinny jean horizon.

On the Dark Side

Try out dark wash denim this fall - from jet black to the many shades of grey.

With a Raw Edge

Ripped knees, distressed hems, the more raw, the better.

Modern Vintage: The High Waist

Thank the Lord, the age of hip-huggers has taken the back seat to the return of the high-waist. Take it skin tight, relaxed, or flared, but just take the high waist, ladies. (For tips on the best high-waisted jeans for your body type, click here.)

Color Me Autumn

Chase those autumn hues, and find a pair of denim that brings fall colors to life in your outfits.
