Coffee Date Style | How to Wear Spring Layers

When Spring doesn't look or feel like Spring, and the chilly days linger a little too long, don't let the weather steal your Spring vibes. Play with romantic layers and lacy textures this season to keep the ethereal magic of Spring alive. It's the ideal palette for rainy day coffee date style. For this rainy day Spring look, we visited one of our favorite spots on the mall - The Pie Chest. Not only are we pie addicts (I think I've tried just about every one), but we're also coffee addicts, and there's no place that makes us a better brew than Milli Coffee Roasters. The cute shop is the coziest getaway from the chilly rain, and a crisp backdrop for this outfit.

Romantic vibes are big this season, from the runway to the sale rack. And this lacy kimono is the perfect layering piece for those chilly Spring days, all while keeping that ethereal, romantic vibe. This flowy Maeve Anthropologie blouse in such a rich teal hue is a gorgeous compliment to the cream lace. And with rainy, 50 degree days in May (we can't even), these cutout suede booties are an easy addition to just about any Spring outfit. (Find some booties style inspiration here.)

This outfit is pretty much all about the accessories, though, featuring so many beautiful new arrivals from our local artisans in the shop. From the necklace to the earrings to the cuffs, the new pieces by Free Range & Feral is absolutely stunning in all its boho glory. And the leather handmade foldover clutch by Petaline is available in a variety of fabric/leather combinations. Not to be forgotten, the finishing touches on every outfit - locally made cosmetics by Kitsune’s Closet. Because what's a coffee date without the perfect lipstick stain on your mug?

Dressing Up with Darling: Giving Back is the New Black

Linnea White

Sure, this post may look like a LBD post. But look closer. This week, we're featuring an awesome new product in the store from Sseko Designs - their beautiful, handmade leather bucket bag. Handcrafted in Ethiopia, this is not only a classic bag, but buying it also directly supports women in Ethiopia.

To showcase the bag, I styled it with a simple black knit dress, a pair of killer booties, a pair of our new sunnies, and simple, eye-catching jewelry. But a leather tote can be worn with many styles and in many ways (which you'll see tomorrow on the blog in our tips and tricks post). Buy this gem of a bag at the shop!

Ever get stuck in the morning wondering how to wear those ankle booties? Need a little outfit inspiration? Read on. From season-to-season, booties are a must-have and an easy-to-wear item (yes, they are!). Let's get started on Booties 101 - A Visual How to Guide!

Don't let the warmer weather convince you to pack away those booties. They're the perfect shoe for the Winter to Spring transition. We are firm believers that boots are not only for colder weather. We wear them year-round! It all depends on how you style them.

Try them with a cute dress or skirt - mini, midi, or maxi length. Throw them on with your favorite denim - jeans, shorts, or softer chambray knits. Think light-weight, flowy fabrics and feminine silhouettes paired with your booties for Spring. You'll quickly find that booties are quite versatile!
