Darling Celebration: The Blog is Back!

Linnea White

After a few months away, the blog is back! And that's something worth celebrating. Two months ago, I became the sole owner of Darling Boutique, and it's been a crazy ride these last few weeks. I'm honored to be a lady boss on 1st Street, and I couldn't help but twirl with joy on 1st Street in this party number. I'm also thrilled to be working with local photographer, Tristan Williams, to produce new darling style inspiration, bring new faces to the blog, and celebrate this altogether beautiful life. Be you, darlings. The you God created you to be. Live each day close to your Creator, who created you to create. Never lose your wonder. Live abundantly, live wisely, live boldly, live creatively. And that includes your wardrobe! Now let's get to dressing up with Darling!

xo, Linnea

Back in Black

I felt like celebrating the relaunch of the blog, and this Anthropologie fringe top and Calypso St. Barth silk maxi skirt brought the party - with a little flare. Fringe is all the rage this season, and this fringe top was made for twirling and all the Fall fetes. From jeans and boots to a skirt and heels, this top is versatile and, most importantly, fun. Add an on-trend grey nail polish and a red lip, both locally made by Kitsune's Closet, and this outfit is made for any Fall occasion - like being a shop girl, all day, every day.

Dressing Up with Darling: Summer Picnic Style

Linnea White

summerpicnic10.jpg

Midsummer. That time of year when the days are long and the evening sun is the perfect time for a picnic. Relief from the heat of the day, and enough daylight for an evening with friends. Last week, we put together two summer outfits for an impromptu midsummer's eve picnic in the backyard. Long maxi skirts, lightweight fabrics, dreamy hues, and delicate jewelry made for the perfect summer picnic ensemble. Don't forget a throw-all straw bag for your picnic essentials!

This Anthropologie top is embodies are aforementioned things we love! Whether thrown over a pair of jean shorts or accessorized like this boho chic outfit, the playful patterns beautifully complement those bright Spring days. And now, a special Earth Day message from Sseko:

"Happy Earth Day! Did you know that wearing our ribbon sandals is not just a fashion statement, but also an eco-friendly decision? The average woman buys 1 pair of shoes a month (that's an average of 434 pairs in a lifetime!). While she has 20 pairs of shoes, she only wears 5! Our goal is to help you minimize that footprint--by creating beautiful shoes that won't go out of style! Simply swap out the ribbons or accessories if you need a change--these babies will last for years!"
