It's Spring! And it's Earth Day! For this week's Dressing Up with Darling, we wanted to feature our new Sseko Designs Ribbon Sandals and embrace two things we love - brighter days and pattern play!

This Anthropologie top is embodies are aforementioned things we love! Whether thrown over a pair of jean shorts or accessorized like this boho chic outfit, the playful patterns beautifully complement those bright Spring days. And let's just take a moment to talk about this adorable Free People skirt. The convertible dress/skirt flows in the breeze with ease. And of course we had to feature our a pair of our new Sseko Designs Ribbon Sandals, available for purchase at Darling!

And now, a special Earth Day message from Sseko:

"Happy Earth Day! Did you know that wearing our ribbon sandals is not just a fashion statement, but also an eco-friendly decision? The average woman buys 1 pair of shoes a month (that's an average of 434 pairs in a lifetime!). While she has 20 pairs of shoes, she only wears 5! Our goal is to help you minimize that footprint--by creating beautiful shoes that won't go out of style! Simply swap out the ribbons or accessories if you need a change--these babies will last for years!"

11136681_1098215520195437_152480726568874364_nThe impact you make when purchasing Sseko Ribbon Sandals empowers women in Uganda:

"Sseko Ribbon Sandals are produced in Uganda and help enable young women to attend university. Sseko hires academically gifted young women during the nine month gap between secondary school and university to earn money that will go directly towards their education. At the end of their nine month term, Sseko will match 100% of their savings with a college scholarship."

Buying and wearing the Sseko Ribbon Sandals directly impacts the life of a woman in Uganda, opening doors of opportunity to work, to succeed, to earn and save, to end the cycle of poverty.

"Sseko is not a charity," says founder Liz Forkin Bohannon in a letter. "What we’re trying to do is create partnership, possibility and opportunity where it didn’t exist before. And we do this by making beautiful things together. We work (hard) and we laugh and we love and we learn. And every nine months, we let go and we send these incredible women off to pursue dreams of their own."

What better way to walk through life than with confidence in your purchase, in your product, and in your fashion?
